Hockey Ireland is the national governing body for the sport of field hockey in Ireland. Waterford Hockey Club is affiliated to Hockey Ireland and the Munster Branch of Hockey Ireland.

Hockey Ireland requires that all Waterford Hockey Club members must also be registered members of Hockey Ireland. Each club member must hold a valid Hockey Ireland annual membership and membership number. Hockey Ireland typically charges a small annual membership fee, which each Waterford Hockey Club member is required to pay directly to Hockey Ireland. Your Hockey Ireland membership is a separate membership, in addition to your Waterford Hockey Club membership.

Hockey Ireland membership includes personal injury/accident insurance cover and other benefits.

Please see their ‘Hockey Ireland Membership’ website page for full details.

Steps 3 & 4: Waterford Hockey Club Membership

View and download Waterford Hockey Club welcome letter and registration eform.

All new and existing Waterford Hockey Club members must return a completed Registration eForm along with paying the appropriate membership fees. (see Club Membership Process section below for more details).

All membership fees are due by Friday, 31st October 2025. A strict ‘no pay no play’ policy will apply after this date.

All non club members, who are considering becoming a member of Waterford Hockey Club are required to pay a €20 fee at their first session, so they can be registered as a temporary member of the club. This fee allows participants to attend 4 try-out sessions, after which they are required to register as a new member and pay the appropriate membership fee if continuing. This initial €20 payment should be deducted from the membership fee amount when completing registration.
